Grace & Jean
Are my daughters’ middle names. This blog is a collective, of lifestyle, love, and creativity. I like fashion, I like mothering, I like recipes. I enjoy traveling and photography. This blog is just what is says… a lifestyle collective. Grace & Jean. A little bit of everything, and all of my everything.
Social Media Addict: Kandice
I remember when I first discovered the power of sharing and staying connected through the internet: Xanga. At 18 years old, I moved 15 hours away from my home, friends, family, and would spend hours every night perfecting the stories I was living to post online. Xanga evolved to Myspace, then Facebook, Brightkite, Twitter, Instagram… you get the point. I have always been a girl obsessed with sharing my life and things I love through social networking. While I work on simplifying the life I am living, one thing I cannot break away from seems to be social media. I love how it has brought so many wonderful people in to my life and also allows me to stay connected with my close family and friends (even though we are hundreds, sometimes thousands, of miles apart).
Family First: Lifestyle
I am sitting here trying to edit down my bio… I have taken a long hiatus from many of my volunteer activities. Being the busy all-American dream mom/wife/volunteer/business owner was beginning to leave me worn very thin. Exhausted, and sad about leaving some commitments behind, here I am. I have been thoroughly enjoying this summer uncommitted to anything besides work and Vestry meetings (and cheerleading, of course). Writing an about me section without the validation of all those community commitments is challenging, though. Who am I? Maybe this season of exploration will lead to ample self discovery.
My family and I settled down in the cute border town of Fort Smith, Arkansas in December of 2012. Once I finally got over leaving Tennessee to move back to my home state, I entered my community here with a heart wide open. I am a wife and a mother to two wonderful, outgoing daughters. My older daughter participates in competitive cheer leading and she serves in many ways at St. John’s.
Totally Relatable: Lifestyle
I am obsessed with bettering myself and the world around me. I love self help books and volunteer work. I love my daughters so fiercely. My life’s mission is to be the best role model I can for them. I enjoy being outside, hiking, camping, boating. Not so much fishing. I love girls’ night out, date nights with Andy, spending time at our best friends’ farm out in Mulberry. Hip Hop is my favorite music, I’m obsessed with podcasts, instagram is my addiction.
