Today I am finally back with a little life update. Things have been crazy, crazy!
First of all: yesterday I took the NASM CPT exam and I PASSED!!! I have been studying for what feels like, non stop the last 5 weeks or so. I was so nervous yesterday, I thought I was going to throw up in the exam room.
Now that I am an actual, certified, personal trainer… I’m like, what next!? OMG. I’m so excited and happy. Things like, my own fitness, nutrition, liability insurance, business plan, prospective clients, and continuing education are on the forefront of my mind. Just another rung on the ladder to what will hopefully become my career and will enable me to make a living doing something I totally love.
Tomorrow is Sophia’s birthday!! She will be 8 years old. How the time flies. I am sad she’s growing but I love the kid that she is! Definitely the comedian in the family and sweet as pie (appropriate since I called her baby pie for so long and Sophie pie) to boot. All she asked for, for her birthday was to be a mermaid! So, we bought her a monofin, a mermaid tail, a “bookini” as she calls them, and planned to head down to Panama City Beach on Friday for the weekend.
Then, this happened:
We are waiting to see how things go, hopefully minimum damage and we can still get our mermaid on. Back up plan: move our beach trip farther west, but that is not really what I want to do! Andy is already down there for an Army school, so we have 1st hand weather reporting. Her mermaid costume is THE MOST ADORABLE THING EVER IN THE WORLD!! Just click HERE if you’d like to buy one for your little mermaid! There are SO MANY different designs to choose from!!
Our house is up for sale! So that is a thing. We are planning to move to Alma for a little while, maybe Mulberry. I think some land and a couple of goats might be on the agenda. Downsizing is for sure on the agenda. I love our home, but 4800 square feet is too much for me to keep clean, y’all. And there are only four of us, and the dog. We have rooms we don’t even use, they’re empty, no furniture or anything. I am looking forward to a new chapter! And getting back to some small town living. I think if the chinese place doesn’t deliver to my house, it will make it a lot easier to just not eat it. hahaha!
A cold front came through last night and today I am wearing a sweatshirt and jeans. And socks! I’m definitely excited for the cooler weather. Now that I am finished studying for the test, I plan to post more. 🙂 Food, recipes, fashion, family fun.
Thanks for sticking with me!
