Monday mornings are for coffee talk. Lots of coffee, goal setting, and chit chat!
Basically, I had a fabulous weekend. Hashtag girl gang goals! I was able to get away to Tulsa for the Alanis Morissette concert Thursday. Much needed fun time with my besties! Alanis was, as expected, so incredible. She played a couple of songs from her upcoming album, and I can’t wait to buy it! Of course all the 90s jams were fabulous too. I sang until my throat hurt, and the venue was small which I love. If only I could have pulled up a cushion and sat at her feet while she serenaded us. So thankful I was able to go! Other plusses from the trip: slot machines (lost), room service (twice! my fave!), and a gorgeous brunch with much much needed girl talk at Bramble Bar! I basically love Tulsa… well, I liked it more than OKC. Just because it was new probably, I hadn’t been since I was a kid.
We spent part of our St. Patrick’s day out at Michelle’s house, enjoying the sunshine and letting Drake run around like a wild man. He loved it, of course! He also definitely needs a bath now but I’ll probably put it off a little longer. LOL
I am working on setting the mood for my week on Mondays, setting goals and intentions, in writing, somewhere I can see them often (so on my desk calendar, in my planner, and in my fitbook). I thought that a coffee talk ’round up’ type of post would be fun!
We (ok, my kids) are on spring break this week, which is usually so exciting but we aren’t taking much time off work so, it really isn’t, this year. We do plan to use one of our days with the kids to go hiking with my mom. I can’t wait for some QT with her. I really, really miss my parents. I don’t think I’ll ever outgrow that, and I definitely don’t get to see them as often as I want to. I feel like I haven’t seen my sweet niece in forever. That visit will definitely be the high of my week!
Fitness goals for the week: Complete the full simply shredded week schedule. I can’t seem to get in more than 3 workouts a week lately. I love this split, 4 days a week lifting, cardio and yoga the other days (not on SS plan, but my own insertion). It is warming up again and I’d like to run outside/run bleachers at least 4x this week!
Food goals: follow my macros. 1450kcal. 130c 50f 120p (add me on myfitnesspal, my username is @kandipie)
I’ll recap how I do with this on Friday! The week days aren’t that hard for me nutrition-wise, but getting my energy up to workout at 5am or after work is what really kills me. I’m not a morning person but by the end of the day, dealing with all the blah blah blah of the office and customer service… working out is not my priority.
Home projects, I don’t have a lot of that going on right now. I am going to sand down the cabinets on my bathroom vanity this week and paint them gold! I’m so excited! My bathroom has super high ceilings and cream/champagne patterned metallic wallpaper. Unfortunately, all the cabinets and wood work (there is SO MUCH) are brown. Gross, dark, brown. I’m really excited to begin changing the room to fit my desired aesthetic. Finally! What home projects do you have going on right now?
